FOOT CARE NURSE(S)

Essex County In Home and In Clinic Locations

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct foot assessments and provide treatment for common foot ailments such as onychomycosis (tinea unguium), corn & callous treatments
  • Knowledgeable of the effect of health issues such as diabetes, mellitus & arthritis on the patient’s ability to take care of their feet and nails
  • Works within the Ethical Practice Framework of CSC
  • Understand the range of services provided by each division of the CSC family and how it contributes to our model of client care
  • Continually assess, anticipate, identify and respond to new and changing needs of clients and communicate with our Program Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • RPN with Advanced Foot Care Certification 
  • Prior experience in foot care (conducting assessments and treatments of common foot conditions chronic diseases)
  • Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
  • Ability to use the CSC’s online scheduling assistant – which requires access to mobile data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in a second language is an asset
  • Willingness to travel to multiple locations and work flexible hours

HOME SUPPORT WORKER(S)

for the municipalities of Lakeshore, Tecumseh and Essex

We are looking for casual Home Support Workers to help seniors and others in need by providing light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry assistance, shopping assistance and companionship in their homes.

Whether you have extensive personal experience caring for a senior family member, or have been professionally trained, we would love to hear from you!

SUMMER STUDENT

Community Support Centre of Essex County is hiring a student to work in various program services. We are a non-profit charity that brings a variety of services close to home and strives to create seamless services within the community. Our mission is to serve the community by developing and delivering innovative client-centred health and community support services.

Term:  8 weeks

Hours:  35 hours per week

Start Date:  May 16, 2022

Location:  962 Old Tecumseh Rd. Unit 4 Belle River, ON

Job Rate: $15.00 per hour

If you are currently enrolled in post-secondary education and plan on continuing your education in 2022, we would love to hear from you!

This role will assist our Program Administration team in working directly with Program Coordinators.

Preference will be given to those who are:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Publisher
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook
  • Great at customer service
  • Compassionate and caring
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experienced working with seniors and those with disabilities
  • Bilingual (French is an asset)
  • Able to sit for long periods of time
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to provide a Police Clearance and proof of full COVID vaccination

You must also have a reliable means of transportation to and from placement.
