Receptionist

Internal/External Posting Without Prejudice

Community Support Centre of Essex County requires a Front Desk Receptionist with responsibilities covering a wide variety of clerical office duties in support of company administration. Other responsibilities will include coordinating and communicating office activities, greeting and screening visitors, answering and referring inbound telephone calls, and scheduling appointments. The Front Desk Receptionist also assists in administrating CSC correspondence as required.

Requirements

  • Office Administration diploma (or similar), or an acceptable combination of education and work experience
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of general office procedures involving procurement, travel arrangements, budget management, etc
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • General mathematical skills
  • Meticulous records maintenance skills and ability to maintain filing systems and essential databases
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control of these items
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

Compensation: Rate range $15.66 to $18.00 per hour + RRSP and benefits

    Food Service Coordinator – Cook

    The Community Support Centre of Essex County (CSC) works with healthcare providers, clients and families to coordinate and provide convenient and professional services. CSC is seeking a Food Service Coordinator.

    Duties: To plan, prepare, cook and serve food in accordance with defined standards and quality, working within safe food guidelines regarding current health guidelines and the organization’s health and safety policies, with the aim of achieving high standards of customer service and good quality at low cost.

    Requirements

    • Safe Food Handling Certification
    • Must have a minimum of two years experience in the meal preparation field
    • Knowledge of menu planning
    • Knowledge of developing recipes
    • Knowledge of large scale food preparation processes
    • Proficient use of various office-based software, including Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of restrictive diets and food preparation
    • Knowledge of safety rules for kitchen equipment
    • Knowledge of healthy eating guide as it applies for seniors

    Hours of Work: 25 hours per week

    Compensation: Rate range from $16.01 to $18.40 per hour

    FOOT CARE NURSE(S)

    Essex County In Home and In Clinic Locations

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Conduct foot assessments and provide treatment for common foot ailments such as onychomycosis (tinea unguium), corn & callous treatments
    • Knowledgeable of the effect of health issues such as diabetes, mellitus & arthritis on the patient’s ability to take care of their feet and nails
    • Works within the Ethical Practice Framework of CSC
    • Understand the range of services provided by each division of the CSC family and how it contributes to our model of client care
    • Continually assess, anticipate, identify and respond to new and changing needs of clients and communicate with our Program Coordinator

    Qualifications:

    • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
    • RPN with Advanced Foot Care Certification
    • Prior experience in foot care (conducting assessments and treatments of common foot conditions chronic diseases)
    • Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
    • Ability to use the CSC’s online scheduling assistant – which requires access to mobile data.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Fluency in a second language is an asset
    • Willingness to travel to multiple locations and work flexible hours

    We are looking for casual Home Support Workers to help seniors and others in need by providing light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry assistance, shopping assistance and companionship in their homes.
